If you click one of these links and sign up for a paid plan (or, in some cases, a free trial that converts to paid), we may earn a commission from the software company at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the vendor.

This is how we keep ToolPlaybook running and free for readers. We don’t run banner ads or sell your data — commissions from affiliate partnerships are our primary source of revenue.

Our Editorial Standards Come First

Here’s the part that matters most: our rankings and recommendations are not for sale.

We test, research, and evaluate every tool we cover using the same criteria regardless of which affiliate programs we’re part of or how much a given partnership pays. If a tool is genuinely the best fit for a specific use case, we’ll say so — even when a competing product pays us a higher commission. Where the right answer depends on the reader’s situation, we say that too (for example: “Best for solo founders: Tool A. Best for agencies: Tool B”) rather than forcing a single winner that doesn’t fit everyone.

If we haven’t personally tested a tool in depth, we’ll tell you, and we base that content on hands-on use, vendor documentation, user feedback, and independent research instead.

How We Choose What to Recommend

We currently focus on software in six categories: CRM, email marketing, SEO tools, funnel builders, form builders, and project management. We chose these categories deliberately and cover them in depth rather than trying to review every software category under the sun.

Some of the companies we have (or plan to have) affiliate relationships with include GoHighLevel, Systeme.io, ClickFunnels, GetResponse, Kit, Pipedrive, Semrush, Frase, Unbounce, Instapage, HubSpot, and Jotform, among others. Not every tool we mention has an affiliate relationship attached — we link to non-affiliate resources and competitors when it’s the honest answer for the reader.
